HEBS is a Harvard Extension student organization focused on providing a common forum for aspiring and experienced professionals within our community. We fulfill this mission by providing relevant forums, networking events and academic programs with an explicit focus on business. HEBS also sought to provide the skills and contacts necessary to get admissions into MBA programs of IVY business schools.

In Spring of 2009 HEBS started hosting weekly round table series discussions with subject matter experts (SME) from business world, SMEs among HES students/alumni and fellow HES students on business topics such as social enterprise, entrepreneurship, technology consulting, private equity investment, real estate investment and marketing. Furthermore, HEBS organized Financial Industry field trip to New York City. The visit was coordinated by HES Alumnus and involved a visit to the US Mercantile Exchange while in session, a visit to the headquarters of Goldman Sachs that involved a luncheon discussion with a Goldman Sachs panel, and a visit to the US Financial Museum which included an hour of private discussion with the CEO of the Financial Museum on the impact of the 2008-2009 Financial Meltdown on the US economy and the world.  During December of 2010, HEBS organized the Finance Panel in discussion of the current crisis of the economy, and has attached many students to be involved in the group ever since.
